Epoxy Structural Adhesive
Epoxy structural adhesive is a thermosetting bonding system built to carry load across a joint rather than merely hold two surfaces together. Formed from epoxy resin and a curing agent, it develops strong shear and peel resistance on metals, ceramics, glass and many engineering plastics, and fills gaps that mechanical fasteners cannot bridge.
Selection usually starts with the curing route. Two-part grades cure at room temperature and suit heat-sensitive parts. One-part grades need heat to cure and are chosen when a long open time, accurate dispensing or a controlled oven cycle is available. Service temperature, joint gap, substrate pair and the flexibility required in the bond line decide which chemistry fits.
Where epoxy structural adhesive is used
Typical work includes metal frame assembly, motor and housing bonding, insert fixing, and repair of welded or riveted joints. Surfaces should be clean, dry and lightly abraded, and mixing ratio, pot life and fixture time must be respected.
JOME supplies epoxy structural adhesive from room-temperature two-part systems to heat-curing one-part grades. Examples include High-strength 2-part epoxy structural adhesive, the 2K High-Temperature Resistant Epoxy Structural Adhesive and a single-component low-temperature heat-curing epoxy structural adhesive. The full range sits in the Epoxy Structural Adhesive category.
JOME is an industrial Epoxy Structural Adhesive manufacturer supplying customers in more than 30 countries.Explore Structural Adhesive, One Component Epoxy.
